Belgian & European public procurement

Public money.
Real stakes.
Sound judgement.

The rules matter. So does what happens when they meet the real world.

We bring legislation, case law and field experience to public procurement. Clear advice, careful reasoning, and practical support when the file is anything but straightforward.

Let’s look at your procurement

The work

A sound procedure.
A decision you can explain.

Public procurement is not a box-ticking exercise. We help turn a complex set of requirements into a clear course of action.

01 / FRAME

Get the foundations right.

Clarify the need, examine the constraints and put the Belgian and European procurement framework in context. Before a vague assumption becomes a very specific problem.

The need. The rules. The route forward.

02 / INTERPRET

Read beyond the rule.

A provision is one part of the picture. Case law helps explain how it is interpreted and applied. We examine the reasoning, its relevance to the file, and where caution is needed.

Legal context, not isolated quotations.

03 / MOVE FORWARD

Work through the difficult bits.

Practical consulting throughout a procurement: questions to resolve, choices to weigh and reasoning to document. A partner at the table, not another report left on it.

Clear decisions. Useful next steps.

Experience, kept current

The field teaches.
We keep learning.

Years of practice are a foundation. Not an excuse to stop opening the books.

Training is part of the job.

Continuing professional development with specialist providers, including ESIMAP, keeps our practice in contact with changes in procurement and the questions practitioners face.

A long-standing partnership. A new chapter.

We have recently joined forces with a long-term business partner, bringing together complementary perspectives and decades of combined field experience.

Procurement knowledge meets engineering.

Together with Dercetech’s founder, we are investing in a new AI-assisted system. The purpose is practical: make accumulated knowledge more useful to the people handling the next file.

Research & development In development

A second pair of eyes.
Not a rubber stamp.

We are developing an AI-assisted system to connect legal sources with the lessons of practice. The aim: help experts catch blind spots and give less experienced practitioners a more structured way through a procurement.

AI-ASSISTED ANALYSIS

Connect the sources.
Question the assumptions.

Designed to bring relevant context, potential gaps and questions for review into view.

For experienced consultants

A wider check for blind spots.

For junior practitioners

Structure, context and prompts to seek expert review.

Human judgement stays in charge.A development objective—not a product available today. Outputs will need checking against authoritative sources and the facts of each file.

More useful questions. Fewer unchecked assumptions. That is the ambition.

Experience, close to the work

Anne-Christine Weets

Head & Founder, Public Procurement EU

Anne-Christine brings more than two decades of professional experience, combining management responsibilities with hands-on work. For nearly a decade, she has specialised in public procurement, with training from organisations including ESIMAP and ICHEC School of Management.

She began her career as a translator and developed an interest in management, without losing touch with the practical realities of the work. Public procurement brought those interests together: vision, compliance, knowledge and experience, applied to decisions that have to stand up in practice.

The broader objectives in view. The working detail never far away.
